Swinburne's 1st book, printed in 250 copies & ready for issue by late Oct. 1860.  However, Swinburne reconsidered & asked Pickering, the original publisher, to alter the title to The Queen-Mother, Rosamond, Two Plays, under which the book was finally issued in Jan. 1861 (ECB).  By July 1865 Moxon had acquired the remaining sheets from Pickering, & re-issued the book w/his imprint on a cancelled titlepage, apparently without consulting the author (in Moxon's edition the title reverts to the original).  Our copy is a variant lacking the Errata leaf found in most early issues.
