Jeens after George Frederick Watts, & 43 wood engravings by J.D. Cooper after Arthur Hughes & 15 after Sydney Prior Hall.  Printed by R. Clay Sons & Taylor, London.  Inscribed by one of the illustrators to recto of fr. ep.: "Edward Gilliat from Sydney P. Hall"; also w/some pencilled notes at end of Preface identifying "Slogger Williams" (B.O. Jones), "Tom Brown" (Augustus Orlebar), & "Arthur" (A.S.J. Weston).  The recipient was the Rev.
