(contr.), and Norman Macleod (ed.), GOOD WORDS FOR 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, and 1864 (London: Alexander Strahan & Co., 1860-1864).  Five volumes, first editions, 24 x 16cm (large 8vos), all uniformly bound (1863 differs slightly) in 19thC. black half calf w/marbled boards, raised bands, gilt decorations & titles to spines, pale orange edges & ep.s, w/numerous wood engravings after W. Holman Hunt, J.A.M. Whistler, E. Burne-Jones, J.E. Millais, Arthur Hughes, John Tenniel, et. al.  Included are the 1st printings of MacDonald’s "He Heeded Not," "The Sangreal" & "The Sheep and the Goat" (1863, not in Shaberman), "The Wow O' Rivven" (Shaberman 16), & "An Invalid’s Winter in Algeria" (Shaberman 19).  Printed by Bradbury & Evans, London.  Bindings Good (extremities rubbed); contents Very Good (moderate foxing to prelims).  (Inv. #531)  C$750
